“Love God, work hard to stop sinning” is the very beginning of where we need to focus everyone’s efforts. If we can’t do this, then there is no hope for eternal life. People have forgotten their entire purpose for their existence is to “love God.” Since sin is an abomination of love, if we love God, we must do all we can to amend our ways. That proves our sorrow for our sin and love for God. The Word says, “Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?…You shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, with all your being, with all your strength, and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself” (Luke 10:25-28). This is the way to an eternity with God. We must learn how to really reject sin, and embrace God’s saving grace by whole heartedly loving God with all of our being to have eternal life. Lets go out and proclaim the gospel to the world and guide people to an eternity with God.
