What is Divine Mercy?
St. Faustina, a Polish nun from the early 1900’s, who recorded the revelations she received from Jesus about God’s Divine Mercy, has made an incredible impact on Christians everywhere. Countless miracles have been recorded from practicing the prayers and devotions to Jesus’ Divine Mercy at 3:00 pm, the hour Jesus died. The prayers and messages from St. Faustina are deeply rooted in the Gospel messages of love and encourage us to strive for complete Trust in Jesus as we live a life of mercy towards others.
God comes to us now, just as He did in biblical times; He continues to give us direction on how to obtain salvation through His Word and the Holy Saints. Because of God’s great love for us, He has given private revelation to St. Faustina, and many other holy chosen people to help His children back onto the narrow pathway to Heaven.
Jesus Requested Us through the Messages of the Divine Mercy to:
Pray, especially at 3:00 pm, and especially the Chaplet (a 9 minute prayer) or for just a brief moment, for His Mercy to come upon us and others for the repentance of our sins, help to us change from our sinful ways, and for His graces to help us in our everyday lives.
Love, be merciful, as the Bible, Christ’s example, defines love…showing kindness towards everyone.
Trust completely in whatever God wills for us, no matter what happens through out our day, knowing everything–the good and the bad–is allowed by God to draw us closer to Him for our salvation (cf. 1 Thessalonians 5:18). Complete trust in God leads to a life on wonderful peace and joy in all circumstances since God pours His graces on us from the amount of faith we have in Jesus.
3:00 pm is the Hour of Great Mercy which God promises to send great grace to assist us.
